The Fit and Fit Shuttle are often thought of as simple utility vehicles with a spacious interior and cargo space, but the low centre of gravity provided by the centre tank layout and the compact, lightweight chassis make them quite capable of cornering. It is also a car with straightforward handling and excellent characteristics, and has been recommended as a car for improving driving skills by Japanese racing drivers and many other enthusiasts. The name 'shuttle' is inspired by the space shuttle and conveys the message of 'transporting people and cargo safely and with advanced technology'.
