Car
Mazda MPV 3rd generation, model LY3P.
The first generation of the MPV, which stands for Multi Purpose Vehicle, was created in 1988 as an export model for the USA.
Sales in the Japanese market began in 1990 and it was a pioneer in the minivan segment in Japan.
The LY3P Mazda MPV was introduced in 2006 as the third generation of the MPV.
Under the catchphrase "The next generation people mover with sports car inspiration", the MPV was equipped with a braking system similar to that of the company's RX-8 sports car, and despite its large body with seating for seven to eight people, it was a model that pursued serious vehicle dynamics in pursuit of handling performance, for example. The MPV was also equipped with a new RX-8 brake system and a new RX-8 brake system.
The third-generation MPV was also a model that promoted engine downsizing, as it stopped installing the V6 engine that had been available until the previous generation, and only installed NA and turbocharged 2300 cc four-cylinder petrol engines.
